Who we are

The Horseshoe Inn, Sandbach Rd, Lawton Heath End, Stoke-on-Trent ST7 3RA, is responsible for the personal data collected through this website, horseshoeinn.uk. You can reach us on 01270 876 070, by email at info@horseshoeinn.uk, through the contact form or at the pub.

What we collect and why

  • Contact form (Contact and Reservation pages): your name, email address and message, so that we can answer you (our legitimate interest in replying to you, or the steps you ask us to take before a booking). The message is emailed to us; the website does not keep a copy.
  • Phone calls and visits: what you tell us, to deal with your booking, enquiry or event.
  • Website logs: like every website, our server records your IP address, your browser and the pages you request, to keep the site secure and working (our legitimate interest).

We do not use analytics or advertising trackers on this website, and visitors cannot create accounts or leave comments.

Cookies

This website does not set cookies for advertising or analytics. Services from other companies that appear on some pages may set their own cookies or read information from your device when they load: the spam check on the contact form and the map on the Contact page (both Google, see below).

Services from other companies

  • Google reCAPTCHA protects the contact form from spam robots. It uses information about your device and how you use the page. See the Google Privacy Policy.
  • Google Maps on the Contact page shows where we are. Google receives your IP address when the map loads.
  • The links to our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages take you to those sites, which have their own privacy policies.
  • Fonts, scripts and images of this website are served from our own web server.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the companies that provide services for us: the company that hosts and maintains this website, our email provider, and Google for the spam check and the map. Some of these services may process data outside the UK under their own safeguards. We may also share data when the law requires it.

How long we keep your data

  • Contact form messages: in our mailbox for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry.
  • Booking and event details: for as long as we need them to manage your booking or event.
  • Website logs: for a short time, for security.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct or delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, and ask for it in a form you can take to another service. To use any of these rights, call us on 01270 876 070 or email info@horseshoeinn.uk.

Complaints and changes

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first so that we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO): ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, telephone 0303 123 1113.

We may update this policy when the website or our services change. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
